It has often been said that truly great wines are made in the vineyard - an approach that we have come to fully appreciate and endorse over the years. Our philosophy has been to isolate select parcels of Chardonnay grapes that will best deliver a wine displaying distinct varietal and true regional character.
Our 2007 Two Rivers Reserve Chardonnay is a perfect example of a true Hunter Chardonnay.
Enjoy!
My favourite wine is Two Rivers Golfers Folly Cabernet Franc - sex in a glass! (this, from a Frenchman)
This wine is pale yellow in colour with a lifted aroma of green melons and citrus peel. The nose is balanced by underlying toasty notes from the French oak. The palate is rich with a subtle creamy mouth feel of intense chardonnay flavour, finishing with a lovely long palate with clean crisp acid.

winemaking
This wine had limited skin contact after crushing and was allowed to settle in tank for 24 hours. 40% of the blend was fermented in new French oak with the balance cool fermented in Stainless Steel. Maturation was in new French oak for 6 months.
